If I'm downloading file 1 to computer 1 and have a top seeder who gives me around 1 mb/s and I then start the same download on computer 2 and I get around 1 mb/s from the same or another seeder on computer 2, I then have 2 computers with say 1 mb/s each. you don't need proof as I'm telling you, and I wouldn't gain anything by lying here. steam I think that I have peaked around 27 mb/s.Īnyway that is how fast I can download. I was thinking the same but what got me wondering was that if 1 computer is getting high speed from 3 seeders and computer 2 is getting high speed from other seeders then they could possibly download different parts of the file and getting the whole file through my network faster and at the same time share it between the computers over lan/utorrent with really high speedĬause I feel like my 2 computers are downloading using separate internet connection as the downloads are not effecting each other except for the sharing between the computers. My internet connection is way above the speed I'm getting on both computers together so I'm not worried about that.

The Mac do have 9.5 gb uploaded to my pc and 19.7 gb downloaded so it feels like it is doing something?Īm I just slowing down the download for one computer and being stupid by doing this? The reason for this question is that the file I was downloading was huge, and had few seeders so instead of having 1 computer with download sped at 1-2 mb/s I now had 2 computers at 1-2 mb/s.

So what i want to know now is if I'm downloading the same file on 2 computers and utorrent is sharing the same file between the computers could that possible speed up my download? (it only had around 10% of the file)Īnd after some short time my 2 downloads on the pc and Mac where on par.
